CWIN-Nepal is the pioneer national child rights organization with focus on policy advocacy,
child protection and young people’s empowerment. CWIN-Nepal initiated Child Helpline
mechanism in Nepal. Child Helpline Nepal 1098 has emerged as a comprehensive national
child protection mechanism in Nepal with an aim to protect children from all forms of
abuse, exploitation and harms and to restore their basic rights through immediate rescue,
emergency support, emergency shelter, legal support, psycho social counseling and
social/family reintegration. CWIN-Nepal runs Child Helpline services in six districts of Nepal.
Six different organizations (Aawaj, Diyalo Pariwar, NESPEC, PeaceWin, SOSEC and Voice of
Children run this service in six other districts of Nepal covering all seven provinces of Nepal.
